first let me say, sorry for the delay in updating this website, but i have been feverishly working on my sound and had nothing new to add until now.
for the last 9.5 months i have been attending the institute of audio research in NYC so that i can bring you a more professional sound. at the same time, i have been tracking the new album "can", which is almost completed. so I will now mix the album and will prepare a release date shortly thereafter.
expect a very active 2010 from me.
secondly, i will br remixing the previous songs and placing them on the website at random, so stay tune.
thirdly, i will be woodshedding the tunes and looking for musicians to perform these tunes, so if you know anyone who would be interested, let me know

just a brief update to let you know what I have been up to. After the music for the album was complete, I traveled to tijuana mexico to see a good friend and get a taste a mexican culture. While there, I went to the grand canyon, and saw some of the most beautiful terrains in the country. I also attended the Django in June Gypsy music camp, which I can easily say was the most inspiring instruction I have received in a long time. I highly reccommend that even if you are a seasoned pro, you take the time to study a different idiom, as it will refresh your approach to your instument. but enough lecturing, it was a great time. I will keep you posted to any other cool things as they happen.

Hi again folks. the new album "lullabies for butterflies" is currently scheduled for release in sept 2007, as I am finishing up the final artwork for the album. Just announced! I will be playing an acoustic set at the hinge cafe on Februray 9th, 2007 with a great singer and songwirter Ryan Williams. For directions, please visit www.hingecafe.com. also, by request, a solo acoustic ep is in the works for spring 2007 ( don't have a name yet, will see when it's finished). The new album "can" is in the works for a winter 2007-2008 release.

Hi everybody. Finally, the new album is done and I will be planning a release show shortly afterward. The album is called "We" and it should be out be the end of March. What I attempted to create with this album was a bridge from the bright fantastic side of life, to a more dark, realistic view, like a child wandering into a forest. I wouldn't say that it is sad, but more stoic and reflective. I really enjoyed creating the album, and I hope you enjoy listening to it.

I Just got Word that Shawn Persinger has formed a new group under his pseudonym Prester John. Check out his site under my links page for more details.

The new album entitled "We" is progressing rather smoothly, and i am hoping to have the recording aspect finished by the end of the Summer 2005.
I am also looking to put together a band for a US spring tour in 2006, so if you are a musician, know a musician, or know that you are a musician, please contact me. Meanwhile, I will be playing some sparse solo shows in the fall, stay tuned for details.

Hi Folks. Sorry to have been in hiding for the last month. I have begun work on the next album, and it has taken up a lot of my creative energy. I am very excited about the progress, and when it is done, I will alert you of tour dates. Until then be safe, prosperous, and most importantly, happy. PEACE!

thanks to all friends old and new who came out to New York Cafe last night. I thnk it was a great to play with many talented musicians from many diverse musical backgrounds. I can,t wait to do it again.

After much time, effort, and endurance, Tengo Ongo is announcing the new release of Three Hour Tour. On this record, I laid down various guitar and bass tracks throughout the album. I also contributed two compositions to the project, named Jiamie, and Shy. Hi friends.
I am happy to announce that my debut solo release is finished, and I will be scheduling a CD release party sometime early spring. The Album is entitled "NOW", and it represents a start of a completely new direction musically. My compositional focus in these songs is being subtly complex, and not giving the ear more than it can handle. That does not mean that I am neglecting the audiophiles out there, I am just trying to make their jobs a little harder.
In the meantime, I am staying busy playing bass with the Nefrit El-Or band. It's a smokin folk, alternative fusion trio featuring acoustic guitar, drums/congas, and me. For more info on that, go to www.nefritel-or.com The Nefrit El-Or Band is currently working on tracks for the debut record as a band, which will hopefully be in stores by the fall of 2005.
